The day starts with a call from a major credit card, seems that I forgot to pay for 2 months noww. OOPS! I need to send 75$ right away and then by december 22nd I need to pay 40$. Well why do you call to tell me to send 75? I basically need to send 115$, it's not like I'll win the lottery by the 22nd. SHEESH! Luckily I bought all the kids Christmas gifts back in July! I am SOOOOOO proud of myself for doing so. I have a Barbie doll and wasn't sure Zoe would be into that yet but she's been saying she'll ask Santa for a Barbie. What can I say, I'm lucky! ;-) Lucas is getting toy camping gear. I'm pretty sure he'll like it! :) Zoe is also getting a toy where she throws ball with velcro on them to a bullseye and the game collapses really small so it won't be in the way. Dh is also taken care of (I can't say what it is, he sitting right next to me! LOL!) Only need something for my mom but I'm planning to knit her a scarf out of chenille yarn I should get soon, it's in the mail from the States.
Today was the last day of the church sale. At the entrance we could buy a garbage bag for 5$ and go from table to table to fill it up with books, clothes and toys! I got a new "Canadian" style coat. I'm really pleased as I was just telling dh this week I wanted one. Not that I would've gone out to buy one but hey it was there to be put in my bag! ;-) Dh now has a new 100% lambswool sweater, very nice! :) Got some puzzles (if I ever have time to do some!), socks for hte kids, yarn for ME!!!! Also various pieces of clothing. Only the knitting needles were not included in the stuff your bag for 5$ sale! LOL! ;) So I bought the whole lot of needles for 2$ I already bought TONS on needles yesterday too but what do I loose at buying more at this price? Anyway I already had Crystal wanting a piece of my knitting lot! ;) As the sale was almost closing people gave the kids a few toys and balloons. We are so lucky and the kids were sure pleased! :)
After that dh and I went grocery shopping with Zoe. I'm pretty proud with what we bought, being that the money situation is getting tighter and tighter. I try to buy essential stuff only. We have many meals covered for this week though and tomorrow we will get some fresh fruits and veggies at the market. They always have GREAT prices, I can't wait to go, I LOVE grocery shopping!!!!!!! :)
Both kids were down for the night at 9PM!!!! This is really a miracle! LOL! Well Zoe didn't nap today so she didn't fuss too much when daddy told her it was night time at 08:30pm and then Lucas fell asleep nursing 30minutes after. It's now 10pm and I feel so relaxed just from the peace and quiet we have right now.
I'm going to start knitting socks soon! This is soooooooooo scary but Crystal's gonna help me! LOL! Of course tomorrow I bet she won't be online, hidding from me! LOL! ;) I'm so eager to start but terrified at having to work with double point needles! Oh well, I need to start knitting and get over my fear.
hugs.
ARGH! I wrote like a 5-page entry and it's GONE! pout, ARGH! stomping on foot and it was really interesting I think! :(
Too bummed ot type it up again, oh how I hate this. it's gonna ruin my morning just 'cause! UGH!!!
Was just sharing about the Grey Cup parade, how I think about living the city and buy sheep and I wonder what I'll do tomorrow while the kids are in daycare all day. It had many paragraphs and all! LOL!
Well we went to the clinic yesterday and were shock by the news! Zoe has an ear infection. HUN? Her 1st ear infection at 3,5 years old. The doctor said she has it in both ears but really developped in her right ear. Did she ever complain of pain? Nope, even yesterday Zoe said she had nothing in her ears. Oh well, she gets to take banana flavor medecine for the next 10 days. A part from that? NOTHING! UGH! The kids JUST have a really bad cough. Of course they do, they cough up their lungs each time they cough.
One good thing at least is that the pharmacist suggested I try a homeopathic syrup. I'm pretty happy with that, the regular pharmacist pushes for reg. meds but I prefer to go the safe way with the kids. Bonus is, this new syrup is for kids and adults, so I get to take some too! :) It tastes AWFUL though. LOL! I made such a face after taking in, good thing the kids took some before me and didn't see me. I'm not a good example! ;) It's very sweet like honey but has this horrible after taste. Oh well, if we can only get better in the next few days, I'll be happy! :)
The Montreal Alouettes won the Grey Cup! WOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! We watched it on tv sunday night and it was really fun to see locals win such a big cup. Our hockey and baseball teams aren't doing that good, so everyone has been watching football in hopes we'd have heros in that sport. The Grey cup hasn't been won by Montreal since 1977, that's my year of birth. LOL! Wednesday we'll have a big parade downtown and dh and I are planning to go. :)I went to the festive parade we had in '93 after the Canadians had won the Stanley cup and it's really something to see all the fans screaming after their heros and all. It'll be great to go downtown too!
Even though I plan to go back on friday as the kids will be at the daycare all day. I already have my day planned out! LOL! But then again Carl has an interview today in an hour (ooh! I should go wake him up!) and if he gets the job I just hope they wait until next monday to have him start work. He's going to apply as a lift truck driver, he has his cards for that and that always impresses people. I hope he gets the job, it's 10 minutes walk from home and he NEVER worked so close from home. It's right next to our lcosest Tim Horton's so we might even get to eat lunch with him from time to time. I really hope he gets the job. It's something like 7am-4pm and I really like that schedule, I like when he finishes early like that and then we have hime home for the whole evening! :) I'll keep my fingers crossed that he gets this job. It would be so convenient for us!
I'm still knitting my hat, it's a red and black combo yarn and it'll clash well with my yellow winter coat! LOL! I like to be seen from far! ;-) I plan to make a matching scarf after, not sure what design it'll be though. I don't know too many designs yet. Let's just say it won't be including Aran cables! ;)
The knitting Work In Progress I have right now are:
-red & black hat 75% done
-dh's multi color hat (same yarn as both kids hats) 75% done
-two tones of blue phentex slippers! teehee! 25% of the 1st slipper done
-unfinished baby bootie, I need to make a second one for the match
-baby hat and I screwed up on and never touched after that
Things I plan to start soon:
-a blanket! :)
-slippers, hat or squares to donate to charity
-a gift for my mom, maybe a chenille scarf?
That's it for now, off to make my morning coffee! :)
hugs to all
Well, we're back.
Can't say I'm really happy about it but we had no choice. In the short time we were stuck in NoWhereLand we did have fun though! ;)
In a nutshell, the trailer had mushrooms, mildew and flies, 2 windows were broken and cold air even came in from the closed door at night. The 1st night we didn't even have heat. Electricity was only available in the evenings, no running water and the toilet had no tank under so we had to go potty at a restaurant. Zoe had fun pooping in a bag though! LOL! Since the restaurant was more of a bar serving food we prefered that Zoe not go there, so we'd put a bag in the trailer's potty and she'd do her biz there.
After the 1st night Lucas was already sick. 2nd night and we were all sick, dh and I both had scratchy throats, runny noses and watery eyes. Each time we'd go inside the trailer we felt like sleeping, it's probably all the bad germs in there. We tried to eat well but then our fridge stopped working and we lost all our food. UGH! We had to buy our drinking water but had access to "clean" water for dishes and washing the kids.
We were living right on a small mall's parking lot, 4 feet away from a main road. We could hear the circulation as if it was coming through the trailer. Oh yeah, the trailer leaked! Surprised? LOL!
Anyway after 4 nights sleeping there dh called it quits! I tried to encourage him as much as I can and make sure that he was taking this decision and not me pressuring him too. He realised that the family's health was, by far, more important than making money. That's a LITTLE money, after expenses and paying another guy to replace us once a week the pay would be slim. Especially since this was a job where even our basic needs weren't respected. We called the boss and they begged us to stay, they promised the next day someone would be there to replace us. Ok, we stayed one more day, at 1pm (the hour we were expecting the other guy) no new guy. By supper time still no news from anyone, we called and they begged AGAIN that we stay one more night. Dh said NO! How long were they going to beg us?
We finally came home and it felt so WEIRD! I hadn't missed the TV nor the computer, we didn't even have time to play cards while "camping" (that's how Zoe called our adventure). We were so busy setting up the trees and talking to people, the days flew by. It was FUN, I really enjoyed the outdoors, the kids loved it too. We had fun "working" for dh! ;) He gave us jobs! LOL! I got to unwrap trees, while the kids would shovel or at least stay within our area. We had no fences like other stands so we really had to check the kids. Cars were passing by like crazy in the parking lot, like only a few feets from our trailer, we sometimes feared they'd crash into us. Our trailer is the only one that had so many problems they said. Well I don't care, just change it? They couldn't and sent someone to live in it the day after we left. You know what? The employee refused and they checked out the trailer, the boss had decided it was unfit to live in! WHAT!?!?!?!? You were begging us to live in it a few more days but it's un-liveable? ARGH! Then the fun part? Dh had to fight to get his pay, they gave us a joke of a pay, saying that we didn't even tough one week. Well....!$?%%$?%?*&?%&%$/ So needless to say, we won't write this experience on our resumes...
I did realise a few things though. I like to be outside, like to be around dh, like to 'camp' and like to be useful aka "work". When we got home it felt so weird, I didn't feel at my place anymore. That 1st night I already missed the fun of being in the trailer. If only it had been a clean trailer... If I could I'd buy a trailer right now and go live in it and just travel the whole country with dh and the kids. We'd find little jobs on the side and that would pay for our food. Hey, I can dream, right? :)
Anyway, I'm happy to be back, I don't feel the need to be on the computer as much as before so I might not be around too much. Just having electricity is still weird to us! LOL! Now best of all monday morning we all need to go to the health clinic. :( This trip will have cost us more than we gained financially but I think it helped solidify our family bonds! :)
hugs to all and see ya around
p/s: I did get to knit quite a bit though! LOL! ;)
We are off to our new adventure!
I will update as soon as I can. I brought my knitting! ;)
hugs to all,
Well we didn't go to the Christmas parade today BUT I did something that made my day anyways! ;) I make my own knitting needles!!!!!!! Ok, so all you non-knitters, you might not care but hey, small things make me happy! ;) I used a dowel and cut it to the size I wanted, sharpened each needle in a pencil sharpener. Sanded them well and TADA, new needles! They are size 6,5mm/10,5US. I'm not used to that big a size but I like it, knitting goes faster on bigger needles. I still have two more dowels to cut up but I've been pretty busy and might not have time before Christmas to make the other needles.
How can I be THAT busy you ask? Well... we are off to sell "real" Christmas trees for the next 6 weeks. We (dh, the 2 kids and I) will be living in a motorised camping trailer (think 20-24') and dh will be selling the trees. Zoe will probably be his lil'helper and she'll love the outdoors. Lucas, I hope will sleep his nights well and be calm in the day. It'll be hard to keep the kids busy and out of the way but hopefully, some of you will pray for us! ;)
This adventure sure is crazy! LOL! I warned dh that I'll be shacking the 1st night away from the computer! ;) He told me there's a Tim Horton's near the trailer, so I'll be loading up on coffee and donuts often! LOL!
Dh is sleeping in the trailer tonight and comes home tomorrow. They already had someone scheduled at the trailer for tomorrow, this same guy should work thursday too. That will give us a chance to go home to SHOWER!!!!!!! LOL! I'm so lucky if we do come home on thursday 'cause that's the day of my crafting class too! :) I'd like for the kids to go to daycare if we can on thursday, they too, need to see their own little friends. We will most likely miss the daycare's "staff party", the board meeting and the Christmas party so if the kids can at least go to daycare a few times that would make me happy.
I'm not sure after that when we will be coming back home, it's not that far but since we don't have a car we always have to wait for a ride. It is more than 2 hours away by public transport and I'm not going to try that with two kids in tow. His boss seems well organised though and people will be checking up on us every day. We will be accross the street from a supermarket, a grocery store, a drugstore. So I'm feeling confident that we should survive! LOL! Also accross the street will be a park, so kids will be going there often. Oh how can I forget, there's a dollar store too! I'll be getting our crafting supplies there and hope that the park, crafts and running around the christmas trees will be enough to keep the kids busy.
I'm actually getting excited about this but ask Tori if I was at 1st? LOL! You should've seen me when I learned about it though! OYE! I was so scared, I even cried when dh told me about this "opportunity", as if this should be fun? Oh dear!
Knitting: I've started my own hat today, red and black woolen yarn, it's look like tweed. It looks really nice. I'm still half way into the dishcloth I started yesterday. Dh will be working on his own scarf while at the trailer and I'll bring his unfinished hat to work on it too. I think that should keep me busy for a few days! ;) Then I'll NEED to come back to town to buy more yarn! ;)
p/s: I'll miss the computer/diary/online friends SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I'll get ahead in my knitting though! ;)
hugs to all and while I'm away: be safe, nice and know that you are loved!!!
Hey Crystal, I'll miss our chats! Hope you'll come back from your trip safely. I miss ya chica, so many things I had to tell you. ACK!
byyyyyyyyyyye, talk to you all when I come baaaaaaack. I'm so nervous!!!!
pp/s: buy a real christmas tree this year, ok? Encourage those who sleep in the little trailers for the next 6 weeks just to put food on their tables. It's not easy work and it doesn't pay that much but we all do what we can for our families. :)
ppp/s: we might sell knitted dishcloths too! LOL! Yes, that is a joke! ;)
HUGS!
Dh forgot to come sleep home last night! :( Guess he was at work, right? He came home to get clothes around 7pm, he said he was cold and wanted a few extra sweater for the other guys too and socks, he has wet feet. Why would I doubt that it wasn't the truth? I saw him around lunch time yesterday, he was unloading the tree truck next to the supermarker. I gave him 20$ so he could buy himself lunch, I guess I shouldn't have and let him starve....
DANG IT! I keep thinking I might have to break up with him after all. UGH! I can't believe he told us he'd come to sleep and then not. Just pick up a damn phone and call home.
Freakin' jerk.
So I guess we won't go to the Santa parade down town today... UGH!
Well Carl has a new job!!! :) I learned about it last night right after I wrote my entry. He went out for a walk with Lucas to a construction site, they go there almost every day. Lucas LOVES the trucks and big machines there. Anyway dh, who likes to talk to everyone, went to see the guy that was setting up his space to sell christmas trees in the supermarket's parking lot. Soon enough he got a job that started this morning. We learned tonight that he's back at the job tomorrow, which gives me hope that he might just go back next week too! LOL!
This is kind of a dream job for him. He gets to see people everyday, rides in a truck and gets to play with electric "toys" (tools) while being paid. So at least he'll be working until Christmas. LOL! Then we'll see but I'm really happy about this new job. Can't wait to see the 1st paycheck! :) We haven't had money coming in for at least 2 months. It'll be nice to cash in a check for once. Well the credit companies will be even happier!
Had my crafting class today, I painted on a ceramic tile and had alot of fun at it, so I won't be doing one of the other projects to have more time to paint other tiles! LOL! I did a star in a faux painted glass finish. I think it's pretty cute too! :)
Zoe's daycare class is getting some visitors tommorow. The people from th recycling association will act out a story for them and recap how to make paper with the kids. Since Zoe wasn't there last week, I hope she'll like the papermaking part. I'll tell her we'll make some this weekend when I get her for lunch! I think that will make her really happy! :)
Did I write yesterday that Zoe went ice skating? She and Carl went to the arena and Zoe was sooooo eager to jump on the ice. It was her 1st time with "real" skates on. Last year she had skates that attached to her boots when she went to the arena. This little girl is growing up so much and sooooooo fast! ACK! I'm loosing my baby girl 'cause she's getting so big. She los to tell me how good a mom she is to her dolls. Aaaaww! I'm so proud of her, she does tend to strangle, I mean HUG Lucas a tad to hard though. But she loves him so much! ;)
hugs,
Got back into knitting Carl's hat. Poor guy it's getting cold out! LOL!
hahaha! Why didn't I think of this title before! ;)
This morning I went to chat with the mommy group at the daycare. It had been 3 weeks since I went and it felt good to be back with them. Even though it took me more than a year to have the courage to go, it's nice to get to sit down and have coffee with them! :) Of course having the kids at the daycare for free while I'm there helps too! Can't say we are rich right now, Carl still hasn't found a job and well... the bills will keep on coming.
I think I'm going to have to talk with dh and ask what he wants from me? Does he want me to work or not? I mean, since he's not looking much... I thought he wanted me to go back to school in Feb? I don't know anymore. We sure aren't on the same level right now.
At the coffee and chat group, I was REALLY happy to see a friend there, I haven't seen her since before dh came back home. She is one of the only people I know who is genuinely happy for me that dh is back home. She understood me when I shared that I've been uncomfortable since he is back hme though. She hugged me when I told her that he still sleeps in another room. She gave me hope that the future can be a happy one. I'm so happy to have seen her today! :) If she wasn't there, I was going to call her and God knows I HATE calling people. I'm thinking of inviting her over for coffee before the holidays, she's just so nice. I'd like to see her away from the daycare once. Just 'cause! :)
I've been knitting off and on for the past 2 days, seems that the instructions I had for my knitted block weren't all good! UGH! Well I have to make 6 squares instead of , that's not too bad but now I seem to be almost out of yarn and I'll be missing one square. I think I haven't knitted the right size so the squares won't felt up well and then I'll have a weird looking cube.
You know when some days all goes wrong? Well, the other day I started to make some knitting needles and then the dowels broke off. I start to knit a project and all goes wrong. I want to make paper but the instructions that came with the kit are all wrong. More so, I shouldn't have bought the freakin' kit after all. All that money out thae window and we sure don't have that much money to throw away like that! ;(
But then again, that's me! I like to buy the best things I can so when I craft I'm sure that having the best products can only help me right? UGH! You need TALENT, Jo! Talent, I do not have! I dream of becoming a Martha Stewart but she ain't in my body that's for sure! LOL! I want to be good at everything I start but get bored when it'S tough and just leave the projects as they are and quit. Then start up a new craft and quit and the wheel just keeps on turning and turning.
I know I'm ramblings but this is MY diary! :-P
Gonna go knit a dishcloth for my own pleasure! :)
I am knitting a cube for Lucas, I will put a bell in it, so it'll ring when he throws it accross the room! LOL! After this 1st one is made, I'll see how it looks and then I might make a few of the same size for him to pile up. Lucas LOVES blocks, I wish we had a huge set of wooden blocks, he'd be in heaven.
Zoe and Lucas also like to fight over the trucks they have. Apparently at the daycare, Zoe plays trucks with the boys while the other girls mostly draw. Zoe must be drawing too 'cause she always comes back with a few art creations. Zoe's into painting, just basic watercolors makes her day. She likes to paint and write letters, she'll ask how to spell any word and try to write it down. She still needs to learn a few letters but the other day she wrote Pozac! LOL! Guess she needs to learn the letter "R" soon! ;)
I dowloading a template for the website, it's a knitting related one too. I might add my diary to the website, I don't know yet. If so, I'll post the addy here in due time.
When Carl was away, a friend emailed me, it made my day. Since, I haven't emailed him back. I'm not sure what to tell him. I am very happy to get news from him but I'm not sure what I want to say about my own life. He emailed me the day before dh came back home. You can only imagine how different writing an email in the 24 hours could've been. But now I've been waiting long enough, I don't want to seem rude either. LOL!
Zoe has a cough, a bad cough but nothing more for now. Poor thing, she's been coughing less today though. Hopefully she's already on her way back to health. Lucas is doing so much better since the beginning of his Rx.
We got reservations to go to a handmade papermaking demonstration. I can't wait to go and learn! I got tips on how to make recycled paper from an online friend too! She's a mom of Feb'01 twin girls and we always joked that her girls would fight over my Feb'01 boy's affection later on! ;) She recommended a press for the paper the dry instead of using an iron! So I'll have to put dh on that! LOL!
Well Christmas is starting to show up everywhere. Will we have a tree this year? Maybe the kids and I can make little decorations to put in one and then we'll have to buy a tree. ;)
night, nachos and chai tea awaits me on the couch! :)
Had one glass of Sangria tonight and I'm off to sleep! LOL! Got a party in my own world, couldn't knit straight if I tried! LOL!
I finished my 1st square I had to knit, only 3 more to go. I realized tonight that I had binded off my dishcloth wrong. Good this I hadn't cut the yarn yet. I'll try to redo the ending tomorrow, it's only a dishcloth after all! ;)
I made recycled paper today! :) I used old flyers so it turned out grey, I was expecting it though. Hopefully this week I'll find time to experiment more. I was using flyers to learn how to make the paper and will keep to good stuff for when I'll be better at it! Don't want to waste any paper either! LOL!
Nothing else to say really, dh has to call a place tomorrow to see if he'll get a job selling Christmas trees. He'd like it, so I hope he gets it.
Tomorrow is a rainy day so we will probably stay in and get the kids to paint or something. We do have to go see a doctor in the morning. Zoe has this horrid barking cough! :( So I bet she got Lucas's bronchitis. If only they started to cough on the same day. LOL! My mom also has bronchitis, so hopefully dh and I will not get it.
Carl and I.... we are doing better. I like to have him around, he's still knitting! LOL! We still aren't "that close" yet though but it's nice to have him home.
hugs,
Well I'm off to sleep, friday night 11pm and I'm eager to go sleep! LOL! What a wild gal I am! ;-)
Then there's the fact that I'm 25yo and I just LOVE knitting, I feel like my grandma is living through me! ;-) If only I had her talent for quilting, cooking and knitting. She did everything so well and it always seemed to come effortless to her too.
Now what did we do today? LOL! I forget, OH OH OH!!!! I took a nap this afternoon, I've been so exhausted these past few days and with AF starting today I guess I was really tired. Zoe was too sick to go to daycare this morning so she missed out on their activity! Man was I ever bummed out about it. Today they were learning how to make paper, I'm sure she would've LOVED it too! :-( I'm thinking maybe this weekend I could buy a little paper making kit and then by next friday when the 2nd half of this activity comes she'll be up-to-date with the other kids. I felt soooooo bad when I went to pick up Lucas and I had totally forgot about the paper-making today. Zoe was too sick to go today, even if I had remembered. She took a 2-3hour nap today and was really mellow. We need to go back to the clinic to see if she has bronchitis too.
Tomorrow morning though, we are off to go see the arrival of Santa Claus by helicopter. Zoe is very eager to see Santa arrive. She says she'll wear a dress and give him a kiss, she wants to marry him. LOL!
Yesterday I was complaining about not wanting to see someone at my crafting class. Well she wasn't even there after all! LOL! All that whinning for nothing, so I had a great class after all! ;-) We got great ideas about what to put in themed gift baskets for Christmas. Then we make little jok gifts that were so easy to do. I might type up a few ideas if I have time another day.
We seem to be so busy all the time, tomorrow Carl has to go help the neighbour for his leaves. Then hopefully we'll find time to make our own knitting needles from wood dowels we bought last night. Dh is getting into knitting. I think it's cute, he's really persevering too 'cause I can't count all the times he's startd over since 2 nights ago when I teached him how. Not sure why he wants to knit butr I think it's funny to see him there sitting with his needles in hand and knitting away. :)
Brain is dead, I can't think of anything else to say.
I knitted today but not worth mentionning really since what I knitting, I ripped out! I was pissed off about something and then the knitting wasn't going to well. So I got my anger out by ripping my whole square I had knitting, it did feel good though! ;-)
hugs and stitches! LOL! :)
ACK! Busy, busy! Today I had a board meeting at the daycare. We discussed fundraising ideas. We'll see what happens, we might have a night of bowling! woohoo! ;)
This afternoon it's my crafting class, I'm eager to go 'cause it's always fun but in another way I know that this lame person will be there too. UGH! She soooo gets on my nerves 'cause she has no brain. She always asks where are the scissors and they'Re right there right in front of her. She's just ticks me off as soon as she opens her mouth. Anyway I'll do my best to ignore her and smile when she talks to me, I'll even TRY to answer to her politely! UGH! I wish she just wouldn't show up.
I haven't had time to upload sooner, been busy! LOL! Life keeps on happening and then I'm too tired to update. I'm still getting over the fact that Carl is home. I know I should be happy but it's hard. It's really hard to live on with the fact that he had left fr 3 weeks. I think I'm slowly getting over it though, I still need to sit down and really get to talk with him.
Tuesday, we went to the woolen yarn store. I sooooo love that place! :D I bought the seller's last pain of bamboo needles, they are size 3,5mm/5US. The were 3$ Canadian and that's a GREAT deal. If only she had more of them, I would've bought more. I really like the comfort of knitting with bamboo needles. They are lighter and feel nice, also the yarn doesn't slip on bamboo as much as it doesn on metal ones. I bought two very colorful 100% cotton yarn cones. I really like the colors. Last night I finished my 1st dishcloth, it took much more time than I thought to knit it. It looks too nice to use now! LOL!
I'm still knitting dh's hat, and a few squares for a knit-along. Carl even started to knit last night!!! I showed him how to long-tail cast on and knit. He knitted way to tight at first but he'd rip it all out and start again. He's mastered the casting on, that's for sure. LOL! He's hoping to making the kids a scarf. If only I had 100% wool yarn to give him, he'd see how much more fun knitting can be. Wool is just sooooooooo ooooooooohlala! :) I just LOVE the feeling of it! :)
I'm on the run again, I need to eat lunch, pack the kids and go to the daycare and my class.
I'm having a good day today! So I'm happy about that! Tonight is Suvivor night!!!! :) Maybe I can knit another dishcloth while the show is on.
hugs,
Well I've realized many things this weekend. Mostly that ~Jo~ (that would be me!) needs to start living her own life. I've been a mom for the past 3,5years and my own life and dreams have been put on hold while I played mom.
I need a break, a scheduled break that I can look forward too every week. Just some time off for me to just do what ME what! :)
Tomorrow I'm going back to the place I bought some "untwisted" yarn, which I learned since is really called woolen yarn. LOL! So I've been thinking of the cotton yarn all week so tomorrow I'll go and buy it while the kids go to daycare in the afternoon. Also tomorrow being tuesday, it's the Vanilla Lattes at the price of regular coffee day! Which means that I'll ordering a latte on my way to the yarn store. LOL!
Coffee and yarn, can life be any better? ;) Carl wants a hat to match the one each kid has, so I'll start on that soon. I've been wanting to knit up many projects at once, now I just don'T know which one to start 1st! It is really motivating to have finished a few projects and then to see them actually being worn.
Today both kids were wearing their knitted hats outside in the snow. They looked so cute and it made me very proud to know that "I" knitted them hats! :D
Well I still need to talk with Carl about the future, sometimes I think I did the wrong thing to have him back home but then again. I know he's been trying, ALOT! In the past 2 days I haven't changed one diaper! ROFL!!!!
Well off to sleep, I'm sure I wanted to write about more things but I forget what.
Today I only played at ripping my 'sampler' scarf and slowly knitting a swatch. Nothing more to add.
hugs,
Same title as earlier but now my whole entry is gone! I wrote this looooooong post but now it's gone before I ever got to send it in.
ARGH! It's just one of those fuckin' days! Yeah I did just type that word.
No hugs for no one tonight!
