Well we went to the clinic yesterday and were shock by the news! Zoe has an ear infection. HUN? Her 1st ear infection at 3,5 years old. The doctor said she has it in both ears but really developped in her right ear. Did she ever complain of pain? Nope, even yesterday Zoe said she had nothing in her ears. Oh well, she gets to take banana flavor medecine for the next 10 days. A part from that? NOTHING! UGH! The kids JUST have a really bad cough. Of course they do, they cough up their lungs each time they cough.
One good thing at least is that the pharmacist suggested I try a homeopathic syrup. I'm pretty happy with that, the regular pharmacist pushes for reg. meds but I prefer to go the safe way with the kids. Bonus is, this new syrup is for kids and adults, so I get to take some too! :) It tastes AWFUL though. LOL! I made such a face after taking in, good thing the kids took some before me and didn't see me. I'm not a good example! ;) It's very sweet like honey but has this horrible after taste. Oh well, if we can only get better in the next few days, I'll be happy! :)
The Montreal Alouettes won the Grey Cup! WOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! We watched it on tv sunday night and it was really fun to see locals win such a big cup. Our hockey and baseball teams aren't doing that good, so everyone has been watching football in hopes we'd have heros in that sport. The Grey cup hasn't been won by Montreal since 1977, that's my year of birth. LOL! Wednesday we'll have a big parade downtown and dh and I are planning to go. :)I went to the festive parade we had in '93 after the Canadians had won the Stanley cup and it's really something to see all the fans screaming after their heros and all. It'll be great to go downtown too!
Even though I plan to go back on friday as the kids will be at the daycare all day. I already have my day planned out! LOL! But then again Carl has an interview today in an hour (ooh! I should go wake him up!) and if he gets the job I just hope they wait until next monday to have him start work. He's going to apply as a lift truck driver, he has his cards for that and that always impresses people. I hope he gets the job, it's 10 minutes walk from home and he NEVER worked so close from home. It's right next to our lcosest Tim Horton's so we might even get to eat lunch with him from time to time. I really hope he gets the job. It's something like 7am-4pm and I really like that schedule, I like when he finishes early like that and then we have hime home for the whole evening! :) I'll keep my fingers crossed that he gets this job. It would be so convenient for us!
I'm still knitting my hat, it's a red and black combo yarn and it'll clash well with my yellow winter coat! LOL! I like to be seen from far! ;-) I plan to make a matching scarf after, not sure what design it'll be though. I don't know too many designs yet. Let's just say it won't be including Aran cables! ;)
The knitting Work In Progress I have right now are:
-red & black hat 75% done
-dh's multi color hat (same yarn as both kids hats) 75% done
-two tones of blue phentex slippers! teehee! 25% of the 1st slipper done
-unfinished baby bootie, I need to make a second one for the match
-baby hat and I screwed up on and never touched after that
Things I plan to start soon:
-a blanket! :)
-slippers, hat or squares to donate to charity
-a gift for my mom, maybe a chenille scarf?
That's it for now, off to make my morning coffee! :)
hugs to all
