Comments: I forgot I had a blog...
Oh my goodness, I used to love having picnics on the living room floor when it was rainy outside! Your post brings back good childhood memories. Beautiful socks as well! Posted by Lizzie at July 25, 2006 08:27 AM
Glad you're back. Kind of figured you were having summertime fun. Love the photo of your kids with their indoor picnic. My kids are all teens (yikes, how did that happen so fast) but we all remember those days fondly. I hope you reveal your sock pattern soon. They look comfortable. I can't imagine knitting without looking, that always seems to guarantee frogging. Actually I can make major mistakes even when I'm looking. I'm just finishing a lap robe for an wheelchair bound relative. I did a knit gauge swatch but didn't check the width of the project until at the end! ( I know that was dumb ) It looked wide enough. But it isn't. I just couldn't frog that many skeins. So I'm trying to fudge some pretty decorative crochet edges onto the sides and then will edge around the whole mess a few times to make it look like that was the plan to begin with. Only I will know but I still can't believe I did that. So needless to say I wonder what I'll do wrong with your sock directions? Hope you have a great day. Is purple your favorite color, too? Those socks are so cute! I can't knit for the life of me (but I can do a mean crochet), so I'm jealous of the cute knit socks everyone's making LOL! The kids at their indoor picnic are having so much fun ... my kids love when we do kooky stuff like that. The wackier, the better! Posted by Jennifer at July 27, 2006 10:46 AM
