V, for Victory

I did it!!! :) Oh by the way, good morning everyone, I got up at 7am today and if you knew me you'd know I don't fonction before 9! LOL! It's a gorgeous day outside.

So I finally started the toe up sock! I conquered the toe part and might I add that it was quite an experience! I think it took me four hours to get past four rows! ;) I knitted, frogged so much that I had to cut the yarn at one point. Figure 8 cast on is NOT my friend! I did make a new friend though.... EASY cast on. AHA! Now that was actually easy!!! :)

Yesterday, dh, Zoe and I went on a road trip accross town, we took the subway and stopped 25 stops later. That's a 45minute ride and luckily Zoe was an angel, she never complained and I KIP for the first time! :) Dh was sitting next to me so I didn't even poke a passenger. LOL! I'm about to start the heel and that's freaking me out, I will try the short row way as I am following Wendy's toe up pattern.

I do have to fudge the numbers but hopefully it'll all fit. :) The short row heel does scare me, hopefully I can conquere another fear! ;) I love knitting socks anywhere I go, the kids were riding there bikes last night and I was walking along knitting away! I LOVE knitting! :)

To wish you a beautiful day, a little grin from my cutie Lucas! :)

U, for Umbrella!

This game I started of using a letter of the alphabet for a title is getting hard! LOL! After I get to Z, no more titles! ;)

I'm about to start a pair of socks for Zoe! I bought some Confetti #206 on friday to go with her new clear boots. The pink is red in real life!

Well she decided she preferred the Regia #5526 colorway. So I'm thinking soon I shall be sporting confetti socks! :D Lucas won't be missing out either, I have a single ball of confetti in a mottled white/blue. I think that should be enough for his lil'feet.

As a mom, you always are proud of the accomplishments of your children! Lucas has started to talk a whole lot in the last week. In fact, he can't seem to stop! LOL! He's been saying new words everyday, repeats what we tell him to assimilate the words better. At the daycare someone's mother couldn't believe how sweet Zoe is. She was amazed that *my* girl was compassionate about others (how she decided on that, I don't know.) Zoe forgot to wish all the daycare personal a great weekend, so we had to go back. LOL! She's too cute! ;)

I've been studying sock patterns last night and will try my needles at a toe up pattern! I'll start with a figure 8 cast on and hope for the best! LOL! If that ends up too hard, either I try other methods of casting on toes. If that goes all wrong then there's the good old, cuff to toes sock patterns! ;)

I'm about 3 rows away from finishing the 5-hour baby sweater but haven't touched it all week. In fact in the past 3 days days, I never picked up the needles. Too busy with spring! Today it is beautiful out, first day without rain, we are planning to go to a craft show/exhibition (pardon the french only site, I couldn't find any english translation). There should be some knitted items for sale (I just go for inspiration!) Also most likely some homemade jams or goods will be for sale! Who can resist? :)

On a very special note, yesterday I got new running shoes!!! (Yeah like who cares?) I do! :) We were off to buy Carl some shoes but at out beloved Zellers store, we found Salomon shoes that we couldn't not buy. They are sooooo cute! LOL! Each spring we buy a new pair shoes both dh and I. Since we walk to everywhere we go, walking shoes are important to us and we splurge on good quality shoes. :) By the end of the day he did find a pair of shoes also. We got lucky as we found his at a 50% off store sale!!! :) As silly people we are, we call ourselves the cool shoes clan! LOL! The Salomon couple, we used to be the New Balance couple last year! ;) Click here to see our cooool new shoes! LOL! ;)

What a happy day it was. Off to go check out the sun now! :)

hugs,

T, for Trip!

(pics to come later)

Yesterday we went on a local road trip! Dh had a job interview at a big food store, looked like a club price but with products that store/restaurant owners would buy.

We then walked and walked and walked from 10:30am to 5pm!!! A little stop at Burger King for a beloved Whopper! :) Zoe got to play a while in the pool of balls, she was alone and just had a blast playing around.

We went to my favorite thrift store and I found clear rain boots for Zoe!!! So to celebrate I bought some patterned Confetti yarn! LOL!!!! She will look sooooo cute with her socks peeking through the boots. I can't believe I found the bought at such a low cost!

Too end my day on a posistive note, we received our povincial tax refund! :) So off to celebrate by going out for breakfast! Then it's another road trip day to find dh some new running/walking shoes!

Hopefully tonight I'll have energy left to cast on some socks! :) I may try toe up on two circ's.

Have a great day, we are off into the rain but it's still such a happy day!!! :)

I deleted a comment from my tag board. Why? Simply because this is *my* own blog and I don't think it's a place to advertise, I don't mind if you include the link to your own blog though! I love to check out who reads me! :) If I feel like advertising I will do it myself! Voila! :)

S, for Stitch!

Totally not relevant to knitting but we recently rented kiddy movies and there are two that I really liked! Lilo & Stitch and the Country Bears are two movies that I believe are worth to rent! :) Actually this summer while going to garage sales we hope to find these for sale!

Thank you all for the kind words about my blog. It always amazes how people that I admire and put on a very high step, encourage me to keep on doing what I do! When I see some specific names in my comments I am amazed, these people take time to come to my lil'own blog! WOW! So to thank you all, this morning I offer you all a dozen roses! :) Click on the pic but be warned to keep your volume at low, especially if you're at work! LOL!

Well that's it for now! Wishing you a grrrreat day! I'm off to my coffee & greet mommy "thing". Bringing along the orange crush blanket!

Today I am expecting these comments:
-wow! that's alot of stitches
-circular needle? it looks so weird, how do you knit on that thing?
-won't it be hot to use this summer?
-I don't understand people who knit!
-oh I've always wanted to knit but don't have the patience (your lost, not mine!)

hugs! 2nd day of our 3 days of rain forecast! :) Everything smells so like spring.

p/s: We can now start our own clown number! I can juggle and Carl can make balloons into dogs and flowers, also he's starting to be pretty good at face painting! LOL! All we need are glitter and we are all set! ;)

R, for Row!

Easter came and left, we had a blast having the kids look for eggs in the backyard. :)

My bunny knitted from a square didn't look at all like the pic, so that project didn't get finished. LOL! I looked ugly, I'm not sure why. As always I did follow the pattern to a T.

I'm almost done with the 5-hour baby sweater, happy about that. :) So it might have taken me a week instead of 5 hours and a few things in the pattern make me freak out. I'm sure the next one will go faster and with so much less anger! LOL!

Before I finish I need to talk about QueerJoe, I'm not linking so go look for his blog of needed. He's on just about everyone's buddy list. He talked about lame blogs or something similar and it sure made me feel ackward. I'm a french Canadiann who only took english classes ntil the end of high school. So my english might not be perfect, my phrases are all wrong and I make mistakes all the time. If you don't like my blog, please just spare yourself the pain and jump to another blog. I don't write for Joe but for myself. I like to talk to no one in particular and this blog sure is a great way. LOL! It also gave me the chance to share a bit of what I knit and I've learned so much from online knitters too. I'm always surprised to see a link to my site on other blogs. It's nice to know that some think I'm interesting or at least they like to come back and check what I'm up too. :)

I'm not worried that some people don't like my blog, in fact I don't like a few blogs myself! I just think that we don't all need to follow rules to enjoy blogging. Oh and if you say something like the hat I made looks funny or that you don't like acrylic yarns I WILL delete your comments! ROFL!!! teehee hahahaha! ;)

Ok back to knitting, I finally got lucky and found the beach colorway and an orange one-pound yarn ball for continue orange crush. Now of course my mom thought Beach was too nice to just make a doll sweater out of it. So I have one ball of blue-green variegated yarn that I don't know what to do with. I'd love to make something cute, maybe a teddy bear or some sort of toy!?

Picture time 'cause even though I don't have a cat (like most knitters) I do have kids I like to show off.

Have a great day, off to go buy chocolate on sale! LOL!

Q, for Quick!

Quick entry and a boring one! I haven't had time to knit for the past 2 days. Yesterday I went to my crafting class, we decorated white candles with dried flowers. Cute! :) Next week we'll make pressed flower cards and bookmarks. Yesterday was fun as a "loud-mouth" person wsn't too class. It really made a difference! LOL! Also I got the happy news that someone I really dislike and can't stand anymore won't be able to make it to the next crafting classes! Oh happy day! :-P

Today was the once-a-month all day daycare for the kids but to save money they didn't go! UGH! I always look forward to it each month as it gives me 6 hours of being child-free for a day. So we decided to make this day an activity day.

1- Make bubbles, never have too much of the bubble solution! :)

2- bake chocolate balls filled with fondant :)

3- cook eggs to marblelize them later on (check out the April issue of Martha Stewart's Living to see how, save by reading how while in line waiting to pay the groceries!) YES, I'm one of those people, read magazines in line and then leave them on the rack! Ok, since I'm so sweet here's another way to do it: Marbled Eggs

4- make play dough

Need more cheap craft recipe/ideas check out the Just Kids Recipes craft section. :)

ACK! Trying to make a little knitting related..... uh.... why not teach someone to knit this weekend? LOL! Many will be with family for Easter, it might be a great opportunity to share your love of knitting. :) Teach a kid to make it's own bunny, it's a basic square that you sew up and fill to make into a bunny! :)

Hope all that travel over this holiday come home safe. We won't be doing anything exciting but at least we are with people we love. :)

P, for Pooh!

Well Lucas decided to poop on the floor! ROFL! So the potty learning dh felt so compelled to do won't be happening for a few days. ;)

Sorry to start like that but it is just so funny" :-P Ok I'm late for the mommy & coffee thing I go too, only Zoe will come as Lucas has a cold. I do too but I don't care if I share my cold with the moms. Today I feel evil! heehee!

KIP's:

1- 5-hour baby sweater (need to start 1st sleeve)

2- orange crush, basketweave blanket (starting the 2nd ball)

3- bunny, (finished the square now need to sew it all up into a bunny!)

Thanks to all of those who write a little note on my tag board at the VERY end of this page. Just makes my day a tad brighter each time. :) Tonight there is the 1st Knitting meetup meeting, I'm not sure I can go for money reasons. Also I am super shy but I'd really like to go though. I know if I went with dh, I'd at least make it to the front door but then I'll need to buy two drinks once we are in! LOL! Next time we need to go to a Starbucks, it's a bit cheaper than a bar. ;)

hugs, :)

O, for Out of work!

Well we are back to the unemployed. :( Yesterday's day was horrible for dh, he even ended up in the hospital for a locked(?) back. He worked alone and was supposed to be working with an experience guy. Had a driver that could care less about him. The driver gave the boss his notice, so he's leaving the job next week, he sure didn't feel like helping dh on his 1st day. The boss tried to have dh accept a money compensation for his day instead of a paycheck. UGH!!!Dh said no, as if his back is really injured because of his work yesterday he'll need to contact the boss again.

This sure is sad though, all our dreams that will builded over the weekend over this new job, just came down crshing. I'm tired of living like this, this job was a dream come true. 50% more pay than he ever had, the hours were more than great. UGH UGH UGH!

Lucas woke up at 5:45am, crazy boy!!! I am trying to wean him 'cause I just want my body back to myself. We also hope he can potty learn like yesterday! LOL! I know boys usually learn at a later time than girls and Zoe just got over diapers at 3yo. At least having cloth diapers has helped us immensly for all the times dh had no job.

I'm stuck on the 5-hour baby sweater Row 32: K21, place on holder, K 23 sleeve st and keep on needle, place rest of stitches on holders -- 39 for back, 23 for other sleeve, 21 for other front. What does that mean!? What does on the stitch holder and what doesn't? I hate feeling dumb over "easy and simple" patterns but I just don't get it!

Here's what's I've been up too last night, while watching the election winners.

It's pretty grey outside, we had big storms last night. I guess the only good news is that the house is still standing!? UGH! My happy self, just ain't that happy today. ;(

I'm adding a tag board at the end of this page, I know it'll look all weird and out of place but my comments link just isn't working for the past 2 days. Not that I have a million fans but it's always nice to get a hello from someone in the day! :)

N, for Nap!

I'm doing a practice run, knitting a baby sweater for Zoe's doll named Maya, she wears 6month baby clothes so I though she'd make a great model for the 5-hour baby sweater pattern. Well.... already on row 6 of the pattern I've hit a snag. I tried 4 times re-knitting the same row and it just doesn't add up. Am I just not getting it, do I just keep on making a mistake each time I knit and the pattern really is right? Well, I started this post last night and lucky me, I got to bother an online friend and she picked up needles and yarn to help me through my problem! :) Obviously I need VERY easy and explicit instruction when it comes to a pattern! LOL!

Also, remember my knitting video idea? How about someone starts selling a knitting pattern on video? :) Knit socks with a friend or something! LOL! I'd love, even though I can knit socks, I just think it would be SO neat. :) How about a video on knitting sweaters? Maybe for a fee we could buy the pattern and "rent" the movie to see how it's made or have the option to buy the tape!? Just not sure I'd keep re-watching it after a few times kwim? I just want to have my own knitting circle party in the living room! LOL! Ok wait, anyone feels like taping there Stitch & Bitch meeting? ;) Maybe show someone knitting cables or fair isle? I'd see a market there, no?

Today is election day in Quebec, hopefully the person I vote for will be elected! LOL! This time around I voted specifically for someone, not a party. We have 3 candidates in my area and I went with the one that would directly help the kid's daycare if she gets elected. Oops! It's 2 males against one female! ;) I even got my mom to vote for her and that is quite an accomplishment! She for one will never share who she votes for and using goes for a boring party. One by one I can change the world, I even conceived dh for whom to vote. I LOVE voting, it is now my 3rd or fourth time!? My first voting experience was when we had the seperation vote. When Quebec wanted to pass a bill to seperate from Canada, now that was something!!! Big debates and many english people moved from Quebec to Ontario because they thought a seperation would mean bad business and whatever. Well Quebec is still a big part of Canada after all.

I really like the big "vote for this candidate" posters, they are made with coroplast. Coroplast looks just like corrugated cardboard but it's plastic, it can widthstand(?) the rain and snow too. We "found" a few big panels of this while walking. ;) I'm thinking we have just about enough to make the kids a play house for the basement. They already have a playhouse in the backyard and go in it each time we go out to play. My mom had found the house on the side of the road, someone was throwing it away with their recycling stuff one day. She knocked on the door and asked if they could save it for an hour. She came running home to tell us about it, we were jumping up and down like crazy, those playhouses cost around 100-200$CAN. We had to call our neighbours for help in transporting it home (we don't have a car). Best freebie we ever got! ;) The house and sand box are the two favorites sport in the backyarn.

Ok, finally back to knitting. (Hey I got up at 6:30am and went to sleep at 1:30am, I sorta feel chatty this morning! LOL!) I never did find the Beach coloway I wanted for the 5-hour baby sweater. So I got out out white yarn I already have that I'm eager to finish and started on the project last night. Zoe has already requested yellow pants to adorn her doll. :)

Orange crush (basketweave blanket) is on a break today, I didn't find any lemon yellow or orange punch yarn like I liked. So today will be the 5-h sweater day. :) All other projects on hold, just 'cause I feel like it! LOL!

Oh wait..... there is this bunny pattern that I'll try to do in duplicate, each kid can then have it's own easter bunny to find next sunday. :)

Ugh! No pics today, must find pic to color a bit this entry. So off I go and check my pic folder, hummm.... let's see... Ok! Let's try this one:

Being this cute takes hard work! ;)

Have a great day! :) Dh is on his first day of his new job. He was so nervous all night long, tossing and turning! Then I so kindly woke up really early to have a coffee with him before he leaves. I hope he likes it! :)

M, for Money!

It's saturday and I am bored, weekends sure ain't as exciting as when I was 16. ;) We will be having a BBQ later on, first time of the season, so that's exciting. Montreal is so nice today and it was great yesterday. With only a fleece coat we spent 4-5hours outside yesterday. It was nice knitting out while the kids ran around in the yard. :) The sun felt good, depression is easier to deal with when the sun is out.

The basketweave is coming along nicely, I finished the 1st ball of yarn and will add a 2nd one shortly. I might go buy so orange and yellow balls and maked it a striped basketweave blanket! Well that's if I ever make it to Walmart today! LOL! Woohoo, stores filled with people in a hurry, shoving you around 'cause you are taking your plain old time just checking out all the yarns. Maybe I'll wait until monday to go. ;)

HEY!!!!!!!!! Yesterday evening we got the greatest news ever..... Carl (that would be my significant other!) is now employed by a company!!! :) He starts working monday morning and then tuesday, will be off on wednesdays and work two more days before the weekend. So that's pretty exciting, he already promised me a budget for yarn in the new future. LOL! How sweet is that? ;)

I need to check how much yarn a 5-hour baby sweater takes and then I might start one in a boy-ish color. I really like this color scheme, pretty vivid.

This could be exciting to make a baby sweater, my 1st sweater too. I know I keep on saying that but for me to knit a sweater iis a huge thing! LOL! :)

hugs, wishing everyone a great fun filled weekend. :)

L, for Love!

Obviously, yesterday morning I was in a hurry 'cause I never tought about the letter K, for Knitting! LOL! Now this morning I am also in a hurry, way more than yesterday in fact. I need to be at a board meeting at the daycare at 9am and it is now 8:45. I just woke up 10 minutes ago! LOL. I sure won't be knitting this morning. ;)

Back to today's title, Love is when you have people around you that support you whatever you do. Love is finding a craft that you enjoy and even if you aren't that great at it, it puts a smile on your face each time you pick up the needles! ;)

Love is..... receiving the whole collection ever printed of your favorite knitting magazine. :) I am in Love with Family Circle Easy Knitting and here is what is putting such a smile on my face today.

Love is... a box full of magazines!

I recently went to the library and found knitting books!!! They were as new as can be, just received from the publisher. My favorite book is BB Tricot, it is filled with baby patterns. Soooooo cuuuuuuute! :)

Yesterday we had unexpected visitors for lunch, a little friend from Zoe's daycare group. They walked us home after daycare and once we were at our front step, my mom invited them over for lunch. Me, being shy would have never done that, I do believe the mom is a great person that I'd love to know more about though. So they stayed to eat and the girls played a few HOURS!!!

Now get this...... she KNITS!!!!!! Oh my goodness, you should've seen the grin stamped on my face. :) :) :) She's a newbie knitter that only makes squares for blankets. I had JUST received the FCEK mags so we oooh'd and aaaah'd over every baby pattern in them. She's pregnant with her first son. It was truely a great day yesterday. I'm hoping I'll get her to try knitting baby booties or at least something different from making just squares. I almost cried when she sai she knitted. My mom almost jumped on her chair! LOL!

Was such a happy day. :)

Then the rented Maid in Manhattan! aaaawww! Sappy movies make me happy and all loved. :)

hugs, have a grrrrreat day!!! Gotta run, only 10 minutes 'itl 9am! LOL!

K, for King!

Today I'm really hoping for some mail. I've been waiting for old issues of FCEK and I am just too dang eager to read them! LOL!

Off to my mommy & coffee meeting. Today I shall wow them while knitting on DPN's! ;) Bringing dh's fuzzy feet along with me, also tagging along will be the orange crush blanket. I like to change from a project to the other from time to time. Especially when chatting along. There's less change I screw up the basketweave pattern than the slippers.

No pics but here's a link to keep you busy! lol! The Knitting Fool

J, for Jo! lol!

So J is for ~Jo~, this means today I'm the start right? ;)

Slow morning, I woke up at 10am!!! Two kids and still I wake up that late, pretty amazing. Problem is I'm even more tired than when I went to bed last night, why am I so tired?

I finally started on dh's Fuzzy Feet slippers. He's been so happy, offering to make tea each time I pick up the needles, making sure I'm all comfy. LOL! I think he REALLY wants them. ;) I'm at the foot part of the 1st slipper so that should finished by the end of the day. Then tomorrow I might knit at my mommy&coffee group the 2nd Fuzzy Feet.

Anyone know if an adult acrylic sweater would be comfy? I know some are against acrylics but my budget is all for it. ;)

hugs, have a wonderful day. :)

p/s: Dh is off to a job interview, please keep him in your thoughts. He's been off work for more than 6 weeks now. It's for a magazine distribution place.... I can almost see old knitting mag issues in my future. ;)

I, for Inspiration!

Well a new week starts. In a few minutes a mom from the kids daycare will be over to unload some clothes from her kids to mine. She also promised toys! :)

This morning was a buzzing one. Carl got the hair clipper out and did a job on his head and then ACK! Lucas got his own buzz cut. So here are a few pics to show off my baby loosing his curls.

Last night I finally felted my little partition bag from Theresa, you can still see some garter stitch definition but I didn't want to felt it down too much. Now it's a perfect size for Zoe to tote around her little "stuff". ;) Click on the bag for a bigger picture.

hugs, have a great week everyone!
It's sunny here and we most likely will go spend some time outside. :)

Testing pop up pictures:
Just a beautiful picture of Zoe! Notice the bangs, she cut?

PAIN!

I'm in PAIN, tooth-ache! Hurting so bad, I'm off to sleep early and pray it'll go away soon. I feel like knocking myself out just to not feel the pain anymore.

I sympathize with all the teething babies out there right now! ;)

It hurts. :( I'm drooling like crazy, not sure why. Lucas won't go to sleep and he's got the worst diaper rash ever. Zoe's starting a cold. UGH! Hoping a good night's sleep will make everything better.

H, for Hun?

Oh for the love of whatever! I was trying to change the template of ANOTHER blog I have! ARG! If you missed the "oops" moment, this is what you would've seen.

I'll change it back later, man this is not good. Here I was all calm and happy this AM. Just came out from a looong hot hot hot shower taken ALONE!!! :)

Gonna start on dh's Fuzzy Feet today, he put holes in his other slippers. Guess I finally got the message! LOL! ;)

I think Lucas prefers to crochet than knit. ;)

Ok showing off two candles I made with dh, these were for ladies that take care of our kids at the daycare when I go to my crafting class. I think I will start bringing my digicam at the class to show off what others do. I'm not the best student so it'll be nice to show off what others do. We finished our decorative plates yesterday. Of course mine ain't finished. LOL! The 'teacher' let me bring paint home so I could end my project. She's my mom's age and my mother does come to the class, so we all have a great time with the teacher. :) Next week we start a new project, a small flower press and also a candle with pressed flowers impregnated(!?) in it. It's the mother's day project for this year.

G, for Grumpy!

I am grumpy, sick as a dog. UGH!!! So yesterday I did not have the great news I was hoping to get to share. Oh well, instead I get to be really sick and weak. I didn't sleep at all this past night, that little toddler of mine decided to party and try kickboxing on me while I slept. :(

Not much knitting going on, I'm slowly making a few headscarves. I have so many things I want to make. I have been reading older issues of Easy Knitting! OMG!!!! So many patterns that delight me. I'm so happy 'cause that means I won't have to buy patterns anytime soon. ;) I saw a pattern of these slippers that are trucks. LOL! Those might be fun to make. I bet big boy Carl would love them more then little Lucas though! LOL!

hugs, rest for me today

I might skip my crafting class too. So no update on my decorative plate.

12:37pm
feeling better. Made 2 gel candles with dh, he promised to take pics so I can finally show them off. ;) Off to my crafting class after all, 3 hours without the kids is JUST what I need right now! LOL

F, for Fabulous!

Today I feel grrrrreat!

Spring is getting to me, I decided I will not go back to school in the fall. I will take a course though but a year's commitment to school is just too much for me right now, maybe I will go back when Zoe starts school though. :)

So I'm thinking of either taking a sewing class that I've been wanting to take for the past 5 years! LOL! OR go and exercise at a local womens club. Frankly it's 'cause it's closer then the co-ed gym and well I don't feel like going to a gym where the women are all in lycra trying to pick up guys! LOL! I'm so not like that, oh and I'm a mom, enough said! ;) No lycra for me. LOL!!!!!

Well I might just have some special news to share later on..... for now I'm off to a mommy and coffee 'thing'.

Wishing everyone a great day. :)

E, for EZ!

Knit on, with confidence and hope, through all crises.

-Elizabeth Zimmermann-

I have only one book from EZ and did it ever take me a long time to get one too! Luckily I received the exact book I wanted in an online swap. I believe the person I swapped a book with was as happy with her package as I was. :)

I love EZ, simply because she explains it all i basic words. All her other boks are on a birthday wish list! LOL! Dh better find a job by then 'cause I don't want no jewellery at my birthday. Give me yarn anytime though! ;)

A little word on the knitting online community! I learned to knit alone, by myself right by sitting on my computer chair and learning from videos. I did not learn from a loving grandmother or a close friend. What I'm getting too is how thankful I am for the friends I've made by entering knitting related rings and knitting boards.

The little comments I recieve at the end of my entries fill my day with sunshine. I know it only takes a second to write a little note but it does make me happy to really see people are reading me. Even if it's just for a "Hello, have a great day!" As a mother I have taken many decisions that aren't mainstream, we use cloth diapers, I tandem nursed for nine months and nursed thoughout my full pregnancy with my second. Lucas 'still' breasfeeds, yes he does eat too! LOL! I almost feel less judged when it comes to knitting even if I mostly use acrylics. I love that with a few clicks I know I can find the answer to my questions. LOL! I still remember how I use to count gauge and never got close to what was asked. In real life, someone would have noticed I was calculating each sides of every V's. I feel closer to many people online than I would IRL. It is nice to come here and know that people are knitting and posting pics of what they are doing.

In the morning I get excited to come read my dialy list of blogs I frequent most. Got my first coffee next to me and the kids watch their cartoons. After if I'm lucky I'll go visit the blogs from a ring I belong too. See what people are knitting, spinning, weaving today. :)

I've been opened to a new world that I never noticed before, friendships that would've never happened if I hadn't picked up a pair of needles and yarn last September 11. Just because I wanted to make a sad day better, I won new friends, a new craft, a new comprehension of myself. I am crafty, I am "unique"(in more ways than one!) ;), I am a knitter and that makes me happy! :) I didn't pick up knitting because it was cool. I tried it because I had bought an FC Easy Knitting issue and wanted to make something from it! So of course I had to learn to knit to do that! LOL!

That first bootie was pretty funny to look at. ;)

I am happy that I found knitting, I like to think it is cheaper than crack as an addiction. LOL! NO, I don't do drugs. :-P Yarn is my addiction. :)

Here's a first picture of the basket weave blanket I have started, I think a row takes me like 15minutes. LOL! This is a loooong term project. ;) My pics don't show much detail but at least you can see the VIBRANT color. ;)

Oh also I made a head scarf yesterday for a big girl that likes pink and purple. Of course now I have to make one for my own girl too. ;)

p/s: I'm so happy to see I'm not the only silly person! In yesterday's entry, I suggested a video idea and laughed so hard when I saw the comments I received after that! ;)
