We all need socks,

The perfect socks are done! I call them perfect as they fit great and snug but not too much that the stitches are stretch out like crazy. The colours match up to the toes, though I did help that happen on the last toe when an odd colour repeat appeared at the wrong time. I love these socks, really happy about them! :) The short version of this pattern is: 7,5st/inch, cast on 64sts, K2,P2 X 1inch, eye of patridge heel and round toes. I wear size 10US shoes and needed the bulk of the 150grams of yarn I had. The leg is longer than usual for a total of 7inches though but oh so comfy!!! Procratination being my middle name, I've been meaning to kitchener the toes for the past two days now.

So off I start yet another pair o'socks. :) I just realised these well be the third pair I have started in 2006.
Whoever named 2006 the year of the socks aka
200Sox wasn't kidding in my case. LOL! This Regia yarn is from my precious
Toronto stash, I can't knit too much from this stash as I don't know yet the next time I'll be going. Although, you just never know when the urge to go might come up...

I have officially joined the
Knitting Olympics craziness!!! I wonder if we'll hit 2000 kniters by the opening ceremony. I've ordered my yarn online as the colorway I'm wanting isn't available at local stores. Call my kid crazy but he's insisted on having a brown colored sweater. Can't wait to see the yarn with my very own eyes though, keeping fingers crossed he'll like it once it's at our door step. For now he is just excited that the mailman will bring him a package of yarn. Silly kid!
hugs,

Love the sox! It is often strange to us what children will ask for in the way of knitted things and also the colour. I am on the Canadian Olympic Knitting Team as well knitting my first rectangular shawl. I dyed the yarn (from Knitpicks) and must do a gauge sample! Probably not as necessary on a shawl, but it will give me a chance to try the pattern. Seems like you are knitting for spring with the new sox. I am almost finished my 5th pair of socks for 2006! Who knew?!
I'm also in the Olympics! I'll be making Mona's Embossed Leaves Socks. Good luck to you!
those do look like the perfect socks! love the colours.
I hope your yarn arrives in time for the opening ceremonies! I can't wait to get started.
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment!
