Obsessed by wool

After thinking about it all day in school, I need the book, yes that 25$ book. Argh! I, of course, am now obsessed with it and searched high and low in the net for the lowest price but see I am quite the impatient knitter. I have no patience especially waiting 3 weeks for a book by then I will have lost interest I am sure. Now to justify such a buy I better knit more than one pattern from this said book. I got a great idea of surprising Carl BIG time for Christmas and knitting him a sweater. Man, I'd be girl-of-the-year if I made that happen!

See that picture just above this, nice pic, hun? The yarn is Iro 25$ per ball (ok Canadian $$$ but still pretty expensive) know how many balls it would take? TEN balls, now I'm all for knitting something special and all that but uh...So I checked Ebay and the cheapest price I could knit this sweater would be 200$ + shipping. I think Carl will get a scarf for Christmas.... sorry!

On a brighter note, I called the place I will do my internship and my future boss sounded almost more excited than I to go work there. LOL! She was so lively and full of happiness, I can't wait in two weeks. I have 2 teachers now that say that this chain has the best of trainings when hiring new technicians so I am very lucky. They both said that their training is 100 times more complete than my course, I couldn't be more motivated now. Also if I end up getting a job there I could get health benefits, do you know how good that would be? Sure we are all healthy now but in the long run this way be just about the ideal job place one could work at. I am SO happy right now at this exact second! Hope it lasts all day 'cause we have one boring and b*tchy teacher today. LOL!

hugs,

Noro Iro is scrumptious (I made BF a hat) but I had no idea it was *that* much in Canada! That's insane! Hat or scarf is the way to go. Posted by: MJ at August 19, 2005 06:41 PM
I have the book, i really like it though i haven't made anything from it yet. I got it from Svetlana's store, though I can't remember how much I paid for it. Posted by: Caroline at August 19, 2005 10:59 PM
