Keep on knitting'

This is the latest project I have been working on, I picked up the needles on sunday and have already joined my 2nd ball of two. This is a fun projects and I keep knitting continental, it's going well though I worry more when I'd knit socks or something where gauge matters more than for a bag. The pattern is called Quadulation and was created by
Titanium Rose, sadly her pattern isn't available right now but she willbe sharing it for those on the
Bag-A-Holic's list. Guess I was lucky and saved it when I still could. Isn't it perfect timing to be knitting up some yarn I purchased in my
last trip to Toronto? (check under Oct. 4th and 11)

Zoe asked me if we could kool aid dye some yarn soon and I thought that was so neat. I hope she becomes a knitter soon too. ;) Today she has a very special sports day, her class is joining classes from another school for a greadt day of fun in the sun. We walked by the school today and they had 8 huge inflatable games on the grounds and many sports were being played with animators with the kids. Tonight Zoe's having her last (well if all goes well) spring school skating lesson, it's sad to see her skating season is finally done but this private coach has had to reschedule almost each week. We aren't sure yet what we will do skating wise next fall, guess we'll cross the bridge once we get to it. ;) Anyway that pic is of the kids being messengers, as you can see Lucas is pretty busy with this job and carries three bags to hold all his deliveries! ;) Oh we did not apply the "do not skate in the house rule", it snows for so long in Montreal that they get to skate on the hardwood floors.

Last night I got a really cute email from my mom (you may recall we live with her too) and I really feel special that we have our little e-card thing going on. We like to send each other cards that say stuff we probably wouldn't say out loud. It's just one of those things that you don't realize how much you like it until you stop doing it so off to email a card to my mom. teehee!
hugs,

Hi Jo,
I'm a new reader of your blog. Found out about it when I got an email from Nadine telling us (from Meetup) that there was a Yahoo group for Montreal knitters.
I live about an hour away from Montreal.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I kool aid dyed yarn with my 5 years old son a few weeks ago. He is very artistic and loves colors so I mixed about 6 different colors and he used a syringe to put different colors on different sections of the wet yarn. It ran together some but created a wonderful effect. We then microwaved it and now I have a few skeins for knitting gauges (didn't want to let him dye entier skeins in cause the experiment went wrong).
I'm totally in love with that beautiful yarn and I'm knitting him a Baby Bobby Bear (from Blue Sky Alpaca) with it.
Hope to meet you soon at one of the meeting. But I have to finish writing my thesis before June 30 so I'm pretty busy right now.
Christine
Love the redness you got going on there! Looking good! I have been wanting to KoolAid dye yarn for a while now too.. I am thinking about buying some plain yarn from Knit Picks since its cheap and I wouln't feel bad if it came out awful!
Happy Knitting!
Thanks for the Bag-a-holic list. I think it is just the group for me and have joined.
