Scene 1, take 2!

Scene one, take two. Clap! I started the
chickami again and will now be the boss of my knitting. I will succeed no matter what, so move on over yarns and needles and make place for success. :)

Yesterday Carl and I went to visit Montreal's new
Bibliothèque nationale du Québec public library, it's a new one that will serve the whole province too. Luckily we live in the same city so we have easy access to all it's books, cds and get this, dvds!!! We rented three movies for three weeks at no cost! Love the new public library, the kids couldn't be happier, they got new movies to watch, we are going back as soon as we can to visit more of the wonderful place.
Here's a great new tidbit for sewing seams! Well it's new to me and I think it just saved a few unfinished projects I've had laying in a pile somewhere. Bonne Marie shares her way to sew up seams, easily and looks like it's painless too. ;)
On better news, even though both Carl and I aren't working at the moment, we are planning a little family weekend escapade to boost our spirits. Now where oh where should we go? Right now my top votes are Toronto and Ottawa bu Quebec city could be a good choice also. Of course my main concern is yarn stores... teehee! ;)

Ottawa is great for the fun yet educational museums etc. Yarn selection? Not so much. I love the people at my LYS, but the yarn selection leaves something to be desired. Too much novelty (I know it sells, but does the world need that much muppet pelt?), a decent slelection of mid-range yarn, and not much of the "wow-factor" yarns. Toronto's much better for yarn shopping (and I only hit two stores!)
Thanks for the compliment, dear! And that baby sweater set is so, so cute.
:)
Toronto, hands down! Why - Romni Wools www.romniwools.com. And dozen's of great little boutique type wools stores, like Village Yarns and Lettuce knits. And lots of fun things for the kids to do too. CN Tower, ROM, Science Centre, AGO, etc.
