Into the web!

I got caught in the web and started my new shawl over the weekend! I got some Silky wool from Elsebeth Lavold, I wanted an excuse to try it out and this was a perfect project for it. I'm really liking it so far too. :) As everyone else says, the pattern is pretty easy and it's a good way to start lace knitting. The chart is easily memorized too.
Yesterday I got about 5 inches of hair cut, it is quite a change and hopefully people at work will remember who I am. LOL! After the haircut we bumped into some friends and we got invited to one of the kids sakting coaches competition. We brought Zoe along and the skater won silver! It was alot of fun and we got to talk with a coach we are thinking of having for Zoe next fall. The coach had noticed Zoe and says she has great potential, she works with another coach that we love so all is really good in that sense.

The Disney on Ice show was terrific, we had a blast and I realised that our seats werre WAY better than I had expected. We were in the second row and almost could touch the Disney skaters, it was GRRRRRREAT! Really I had a blast and so did the kids. This is what my job gives me the opportunity to do, to save and make special outings like this. We are leaving for 3 nights in 30 minutes, I still haven't packed except for my yarn and Charlotte's Web pattern. LOL! We are giving this week the ultimate challenge.... either we stay at this job or not... I'm not sure it's worth it all anymore, Carl is getting sicker and sicker with all the dust and frankly we aren't treated well enough to live in those conditions.
hugs, we get internet access tonight at the hotel! Yippeee!!!! :)

I found an excuse to use the Silky Wool too and am loving it tho I am finding a fair amount of VM. I look forward to seeing your lace progress--very pretty!
Great Charlotte, isn't silky wool great? What colour is that, I love it.
Sorry I missed you from Thetford Mines...your shawl is looking beautiful already and the colour is gorgeous! So, where's the post of the haircut photo? :-) Take good care of yourselves, both of you, and do what you have to do. If that means giving up the job and having to find something else, I know it's really hard, but you can't work if you can't breathe...bisoux to the hugs girl and all the family.
wow I love the wool you are using.did you join up for the knit-along? I don't know if you are listed.anyways don't be shy share your pictures lol!
Love the color, I have been wanting to try the yarn for some time.
I just wanted to tell you that your blog is beautiful - I love the pear and the daisy. :-)
