All about shawls,

For quite some time I've been intrigued with shawls. I'd really like to knit one up for myself. I'm not fancy froufrou and want a single colored one. Has anyone seen a solid color Charlotte's web shawl anywhere? I haven't and wonder what it would look like. Also, does anyone know where in Canada would I find the Charlotte's web pattern?

I am leaning towards another pattern though and it is distributed for
free on the web (check for the errors
here). I would like to knit my shawl in a nice yarn, something in a silk or alpaca blend. I had started a shawl long ago but after a while I just got bored with it. I really would like to complete a shawl just once. Any tips?
The finger that got squished in the door is still hurting and swollen alot. All I hope is that by the time I go back to work it doesn't hurt anymore or else, I'm not sure what I will do.
I f you are in Montreal, tonight is a great night for many events to attend for free. Montreal High Lights Festival has many fun activities tonight, since I have to work on sunday I won't be staying up all night but I really wish I could. Check the website and find something to do tonight, most are free and a great opportunity to visit somewhere you haven't in a while. :)
hugs,

if you go to wooly west web site there is a pattern for a shawl knit in plain colors ruby
I want to make a shawl too! I'm thinking of making Madli's Shawl from the summer 04 issue of IK. Then there's also Clapotis that can be used as a scarf or shawl I think. Not sure what I'll do yet.
Have fun at Montreal en lumières! :)
you can buy the pattern online from Ramwools at:

And I saw someone's beautiful solid colour shawl yesterday, but I can't remember where!
Here it is!
