Life goes on,

July 16 is a date to mark down on your new calenders for 2005. It is the date on which people will line up for hours to get the last J K Rowling book: Harry Potter and the half-blood prince. I am one of the very few that hasn't read the whole collection even once. I saw the first movie, then started reading the second book, never finished it. Carl rented the 3rd movie a few weeks ago and it looks pretty good, not enough to get me into reading the books anyway. I must be the odd one out there! ;)

Finally get inspired to start a new project, a baby sweater for a friend due in march. Well for one, I notice the yarn I substituted with is way off, there's a 35 metres difference per each 50g ball then two, I can't find the correct needle size. So off to Walmart to get cheap needles, Carl and my mom had some errands to do there anyway. Once in the store I saw one of the security guys I worked with when we were counting that store last year, it made me laugh and seeing that he was pretty busy I steered clear from him. Soon enough I will most likely see the guy again as their inventory is coming up before march. ;)

My mom found these little decorative charms in the sewing section and right away thought of me. Aren't these neat stitch markers? Six markers for less than 2$ Canadian. LOL!

Here's a big picture of my little drummer boy, he is happily playing music (note this is our smallest drum!) next to our Christmas tree in all it's glory. The kids had a blast decorating it this year and over the holidays we shall add a few handmade ones to it too. Sadly Carl and I will be working a LOT while Zoe is off from school but for the last month we've been home so the kids have seen more than enough of us. LOL! Also we will work mostly half-days so we still have plenty of time to go skating and playing in the snow oh AND....... bake cupcakes, woohoo!!! :)

hugs,
