Ugh!

Ever just look at patterns, books, yarns and wonder, what should I knit next? Well.... sadly, I feel just like that. Should I start a baby project for someone due in march, maybe knit a quick hat or even booties to use up some odds & ends. Perhaps I should start a sweater for myself but ugh.... I am so un-inspired by patterns right now. No, it's not as simple as design myself one either as well, I am not into designing much, I don't feel the need to do it and have no ideas of what I would even want. So here I am checking blogs and hopefully get inspired by others projects, I have already checked all the archives from Knitty too. Maybe it's just a day to not knit but I feel so useles. LOL! So many are busy knitting like crazy for gifts but I have nothing planned on my to-do list.

I could always go out to get that book I've heard about from author Sophie Kinsella, Confessions of a Shopaholic. I was recommended this book as a story that really makes you laugh out loud. This year I had hoped I would read one book a month but that didn't happen, shall I end the year with at least a funny book to read!? Anyone has read this?

Maybe a day or two without knitting will inspire me or.... not. Oye! It's sad that I just don't know what to start right now. UGH! So frustrating, it really is.

hugs,

hugs,

I hope you find your inspiration soon! Posted by: Andrea at December 14, 2004 08:14 PM
I've experiencing the same project malaise. None of my current WIPs interest me at the moment so I've been working on little things but you can only do so many scarves. :D Posted by: Toni at December 14, 2004 09:03 PM
Jo, the Shopaholic books are fabulous, go get them! They really do make you laugh out loud. I read them a couple months ago, and reviewing on my reading blog: http://brenda.typepad.com/brenda_reads/ (you'll have to scroll down) Posted by: Brenda at December 14, 2004 09:03 PM
If you pick up the first Shopaholic, you'll end up with all three. They are very quick, enjoyable reads! Posted by: Michelle at December 14, 2004 09:23 PM
Jo - I've definitely been where you are. I try to use that time to read -- really READ some of the technique books that I have, to think about whether or not I want to learn something new. Or I swatch crazy lace or cable patterns from a stitch dictionary. Or, just enjoy some no-knitting time -- it's a hobby, so there's no reason to force yourself on it if you're not feelin' it. Oh yeah, Shopaholic rocks. They are quick reads, so maybe your library will stock the whole series? :) Posted by: Ann at December 15, 2004 08:30 AM
