ARGH!
Well I just got 2800 new emails in my inbox announcing the new 2800 spam comments I just got on my blog. This is very aggravating as it is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that I have to delete a boatload of spam comments on my blog. It almost makes me want to close my comments, since anyways almost no one leaves me any. I am not sure how to deal with this but I just HATE it!
So much has happened this week, sadly I have no time to blog, tonight we are working/counting in a ladies clothing boutique.
hugs,

Hi! I'm sorry about all the spam, it's so annoying. So I figured I'd leave you a comment, and that way you'd at least have one that's not spam!
I found your blog thru the getcrafty forums, which I have been part of for many years and love. I have done crochet and needlework in the past but just taught myself to knit over the past couple of months and I'm working on the ribbed scarf from the "Stitch -n- Bitch" book and I am loving it. Thanks for the Knitty book recommendation, I'm going to have to check it out.
Cheers, Jen
Hi Jo,
Can you set your blog to close comments after a certain period (a week or so)? In my experience, comment spam usually hits the older entries, not the most recent ones. And in any case that would just reduce the number of spam you could get, so it wouldn't take so long to clean up. And visitors rarely comment on older entries, so it wouldn't be an inconvenience for legitimate commenters.
I know Movable Type allows you to close comments after a specified length of time, but I'm not sure how it's done. Good luck!
Sorry if I don't comment much. I don't have much to say these days...
I hate spam :( I've been getting trackback-bombed this week like crazy. Have you tried MT-Blacklist yet? I upgraded to MT3 so the current version doesnt work on my installation, but it should work on yours.
That sucks about the spam. Thanks for reminding me about subway photos! For you, a special post very soon...
