post-Valentine

You are Acrylic.
You are Acrylic.
While you are very versatile, your plasticky
countenance can be offputting. You are very
good with children but can become a pill if
left alone with them too long. You are very
flexible but don't give in to manipulation.

What kind of yarn are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

With a few days late, here's my 'what kind of yarn are you?' result! Anyone surprise that I got acrylic? LOL! It seems that acrylics always seem to creep back into my life. Of course I don't think I saw any other blogger with this same result, oh well, I don't mind acrylic is fine with me. Sure I would have preferred to be merino wool instead but acrylic is versatile and affordable. LOL!

I did not end up with dishcloth cotton but will still join Brenda's dishcloth-a-long. Maybe I will finally knit up the cute heart shape dish/facecloth. Might get either, pink, red or pink variegated cotton to make this cute project. Of course Miss Zoe will love to receive one as she loves hearts. Both kids had a blast wishing Happy Valentine's day to everyone yesterday. LOL!

As a treat to myself I bought red yarn! See I was staying in the days theme too. ;) I now have beautiful Tibet yarn from Ornaghi Filati to knit up my celtic cap. I can't wait to swatch and get started, good thing Jenna made the pattern very detailed, I shouldn't have too many questions along the way.

Working this evening at Future Shop, wish I didn't have too. We're pretty tired both we better go, we only have 2 days scheduled this week and we will refuse any other days they will ask us to work. The kids need us home for once and we need the time off. We are both exhausted. I am so happy to have some time home and get a chance to knit too!!! I missed it so much, it feels really odd not having time to knit.

Anyway that's it for us today, have a great day! :)

P/S: I have noticed that in the past few days, people have ended up on my blog after searching for the candle flame shawl on Google. I have updated my link the the pattern via the web archives.

Hi Jo, hope you have a nice relaxing week with lots of knitting time. Glad you're joining the dishcloth knit-a-long too, I'll add you to the list on my blog. Posted by: Brenda at February 15, 2004 11:42 AM
Thanks for the link to the heart shaped washcloth. After reading your blog yesterday I went in search of one but didn't find any that I liked. I made up my own and gave it to my daughter, Meagan for Valentine's. She loved it, but to me it was rather pointy. I like this one, nice rounded edges. I will make this one for me! Enjoy your time off. Alissa Posted by: Alissa at February 15, 2004 03:33 PM
You are SO *not* acrylic! What a silly quiz, anyway! ;) Thank you for the great link to the heart-shaped washcloth. What a cute idea! First flowers, then hearts...what will they think of next? Posted by: Kim at February 15, 2004 06:17 PM
