Happy Valentine's day! :)

Hope you are having a lovely day, Valentine's day is always a reason for us to celebrate with the kids. Decorate with little hearts and eat cake! Hey, we're wild people remember! lol!

This week while we were away at work Lucas got his 1st skating badge!!! (You can see him here skating with his new pal Luka!!!) I couldn't be happier for him. He kept the secret until we came back home and told us with such pride. That's my little surprise from the previous post. For his birthday my mom bought him his white skating sweatshirt, now he feels like a 'real' skater. Last night he got 20 minutes of one on one learning with one of the head coaches of the rink. I was happy that they finally took the time to make him feel important. Usually Lucas just skates away from the toddlers and goes to skate with the big girls from Zoe's group. It's pretty funny to see as no one seems to notice that he disappears all the time. Lucas seems proud that he can skate away without getting caught. It ever cracked up a few other parents last night! ;)
We keep getting great comments on Zoe's skating, she really is progressing well. Even though she's not five yet, she's been selected to skate with the bigger kids for the skating recital in April. Next week she'll start practicing with them. These kids are like 7 years old and up, most have been skating for two years but Zoe just doesn't fit with the younger group as she skates with such pride and assurance. She just 'has it', know what I mean? Skating seems to be her thing, it's unbelievable. We will try to find her a dance class for the summer, she keeps on dancing around the house all the time, she really is very artistic. A mom told us she has such good body coordination for her age, we just thought that she likes to dance around and show off. LOL!

Anyway, here's a pic of Zoe's sweater, it's still stalled as I am reading the pattern for my
celtic cap and decided I didn't have the correct yarn to knit it. Need to go on a yarn shop hunt, which store will I go too this time!? The one that offers horrible customer service, sales yarn at higher price than others or the store that makes me feel like I am not welcomed!? Hummm.... wish I had more local stores to shop too. Maybe I'll order online but then couldn't start my har on my week off. It would be nice to get to actually wear said hat before summer! LOL! Wish I could knit the
Rogue hooded sweater but it is really too hard for me, sure I could try but I know I just would give up, sweaters are projects that seem too big for my time and talent. I still haven't finished the one I had started for myself. Maybe I'll pick that up this week also.
Now if only Interweave Knits would get to the store already, I'm impatient to read it, didn't buy the last Vogue Knitting issue as it just didn't appeal to me. So I haven't read a knitting magazine in such a long time, I miss them so much.
p/s: I am sorry to say that if you have emailed me in the past week, I did not receive your email. My email server seems to have gone crazy while I was out of town. Hopefully it's ok now, be sure to leave a comment if you email me. Thanks. :)
