Anger management

Last night was eery, we saw a man fighting with a woman on a very busy street, no one seemed to notice this happening. Dh crossed the street and went to talk to the couple, he asked the lady if she was ok and the man sure wasn't happy to see him intrude like that. They did leave together, I felt so helpless, the lady said she was ok and we checked up on them for a few blocks. I didn't feel appropriate calling the police as by the time they would even make it the couple would be gone and then they'd come to my house for a statement or something. UGH! I felt so bad though, at least Carl did what he could, instead of just standing there and watch, like the other man that didn't move when he saw the fighting going on. I have been lucky to have never experienced any domestic violence in the past or present.

Then to relax..... we watched the movie Anger Management. LOL! ;) It was a wacky movie with Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. We did end up being quite amused by the movie and then boom went to sleep and slept all night! Did make a weird dream about how my french comprehension wasn't very good. Hun? We speak mostly/only french at home. How could I not understand it more than a child!? LOL! Oh I had even got myself some Sangria to make sure I'd fall asleep, alast it shall be saved for another evening. LOL!

Knitting, frogging, more knitting and yet, more frogging aka nothing to show off! ;)

I didn't like Anger Managerment. I was waiting to laugh and didn't. I have not seen an Adam Sandler movie that I thought was funny. Did you have any feelings of this could have been a better movie? Posted by: Ruth in Houston at October 27, 2003 04:06 PM
Wonderful SuperHub! Nobody wants to get involved anymore, even if they can prevent someone getting hurt. Too bad. Sounds like you had a migraine headache yesterday (speaking from experience). Did it go away? You should get a prescription for imitrex from your doctor; it works like magic for me. Aspirin, ibuprofen, nothing else works. If you get headaches very often, it is a godsend. Try the color knitting, it's fun. Posted by: Joan in Reno at October 27, 2003 06:21 PM
Ruth: I did fall into the trap and found Anger Management quite interesting as I didn't expected it to be that at all. The movie could have been better that I give you! ;) Joan: I might have migraines, it's so hard to self-diagnose, though I will keep in mind your tip about Ibuprofen. I really hate taken stuff, so I usually wait until the end of the day to medicate when I hate a headache. Hey! I never said it was a smart move though! LOL! ;) Posted by: ~Jo~ at October 28, 2003 12:27 AM
Jo - never hesitate to make that call to the cops. They respond quicker than you would think usually - they take domestic dispute calls really seriously. And I like it when the cops roll up and scare the crap out of the man (and it's usually the man). Maybe it'll make him think twice before yelling next time... Good for Carl to go talk to them! That took real guts. PS - CUTEST pic of your kids in today's post, BTW. :) Rach. Posted by: Rachael at October 28, 2003 03:20 PM
