Snowball mittens
Ok, so don't take note of my previous comment about the mittens pattern from Ann Budd's book, The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns. I actually DO love it, as it meets my gauge. LOL! First pair of mittens I did was a 6st/inch gauge and this time it's 4st/inch. No need for me to change needles or sit and try to figure out the math to change the pattern, it does it all for ME! The book makes it all easy for me to knit whatever I want in the gauge I want it in.
Also, a big heart-felt thank you to those who take the time to leave comments and email me. It is true that I'm blue these days and luckily someone wrote to me this morning and shed some light on my own life for me. How amazing is that? She reads my blog and made me realize so many things in just one email that she took time to write. Thank you! 
Just got a little invitation in the mail to a special evening of wine and a variety show. Simply because I volunteer at the kids daycare, I'm on the administration board and we help the daycare to stay 'alive' with fundraiser ideas and what donations we can find. Anyway this is the 1st time I think of going to such a 'soiree', I think it'll be fun and cheap. LOL!
