Has anyone thought about Christmas yet? There is a certain person I would like to knit for but she does not appreciate hand made things. Maybe it I had a super fancy tag to sew on the item and get rich by the holidays, she then 'might' like something I make. UGH! It's frustrating because she is somewhat close to our family, we are the same age but live totally different lives. She is nice but it's hard for me to feel comfortable around her, she has money, we don't, I can feel that she looks down on us but still she is nice to come by every once in a while. Anyway, I never know what to get her for Christmas and I want to give her something. Each year she will give something to my mom, dh, each kid and myslef, I really would like to give her something she would appreciate. If only she liked knitting! LOL! She's tried it once ages ago and was knitting too tightly so she gave up, never wants to pick it up again. ;( Maybe I'll knit her a scarf and wrap it with tissue paper in a fancy box. Would she appreciate? Is it worth to buy some niiiiiice yarn for this? I know she won't understand the value of the yarn and the time it will have taken me to knit it. I just really want to knit a gift as I like to knit! LOL!
Last night I frogged a few rows of my shawl and it took all evening to get back to where I was before ripping. Does anyone watch trashy tv Paradise Hotel? OMG! I just love it, mindless knitting garanteed! LOL!
For those who are knitting simple gifts for loved ones, what are you knitting? Hats, scarves, I did say SIMPLE, remember? LOL! Maybe I'll just bring the person to the yarn store with me and have her choose a yarn to make a looooong scarf!? ACK! Why is it so hard to pleease someone?
