Well I'm jumping into the tank top frenzy but not being like everyone else as usual, I will be knitting a top for Zoe! ;) On our girls date this weekend, I had Zoe choose yarn for a project I would knit her. Well once she saw the "belly tank" pattern, she was smitten. :) I was thinking of buying an extra ball of yarn to lenghten the top but nooooooo Miss Zoe would have nothing to do with that. "Mommy it's a belly top, my belly gotta show!" She's so cute! LOL! ;) I'm so happy she likes that I knit her little projects. This weekend she said she wanted to learn crochet. I wonder if she isn't too young but crochet would probably be easier than knitting at first. Hummm... She's such a little artist, she'd cost me alot in yarn! ;)

I started swatching last night and I'm at 21st over 4" and the pattern says 18st/4". So is it really useful for me to keep on knitting this swatch or can I assume I just need to up a needle size?

Have you all tried the Magic Loop technic yet? I've been knitting this sock using magic loop and it is such a pleasure to do so. I really like dpn's but as you all know, I like to experiment! LOL! I tried magic loop using a 24" needle but it was pretty tight, so off I went and splurged on a new 29" needle. ;) It's really nice and I don't seem to have any ladders on each side of the sock anymore. To be quite frank, I knitted the toe on dpn's and then switched to the long circular needle. With the heel part, I had half of the stitches resting on another needle while knitting the heel. So this isn't a complete sock using magic loop but for the plain stockinette part, it's a real charm to use only one circ. I didn't even put a marker on my needle. I did mark which sides are the top and buttom of the sock. That way I know where to start the heel.

I'm not sure I would try knitting two socks at once on either one circular needles or using the 2 socks on 2 circs technic. Just having all the yarn not get tangled would drive me nuts. LOL! I just gotta make sure to always knit the twin sock right after I finish the 1st one. Anyway I make it a game for myself. I try to knit the 2nd one fast than the 1st, this time it's working, I still have a few days to spare! LOL!

Last night was the first time that I turned to my knitting book (nope not plurial yet!) ;) to refer to an information. I'm so used to looking online for knitting related information it felt weird. At the same time it was so nice, I actually have a knitting book that I can look up stuff in! ;) I believe I will be ordering a few of the books on my dream list from the crafterschoice.ca site. They seem to have quite a few of the ones I want and the introductory deal is pretty interesting. 3-4 books for a 1$ each plus super high shipping! LOL! It still ends up that I get a few books for the price of one. I will try to order all the most expensive books I want and then only have to buy cheaper books to fulfill my 'contract' with them. Then I can cancel, I know you usually never cancel from those clubs! Though I think I will 'cause they often offer great deals to have you come back to their book clubs. Also my mom's looking for crochet and gardening books so we should find enough books to keep us happy for a while. :)

Have a great week! :)

I still need to order that daypack pattern. Rob can you make me remember? LOL!
