If you ever tried the figure 8 casting on method and didn't like it, why not give it another try? I tried this method a while ago and hated it, I couldn't seem to tighten the first row well. Yesterday after repeat frogging, I thought "what do I have to loose?" I had been frogging all day after. LOL! So I sat here on my comfortable computer chair (bday gift from mom last year) ;) and looked at all the pictures shown: here, here and here. Sometimes the descriptions aren't exactly the same and it makes more sense after reading from a few places. Also, I'm always over checking the pictures. Oh NO! My yarn isn't going that way or how did they do that? LOL!
Well, I finally succeeded, my error the 1st time I tried was tightening that first row too early. I did it when my toe part was almost complete and it looks GREAT! I couldn't be more pleased. :) Next up on my experimenting list is to try this yarn over short row type heel.
Good thing some knitters share their knitting knowldge with others, hun? I love this online knitting community. If I could I'd have you all over to my house but that would make for so many people! ;)
