Well I feel like I need to say I'm sorry... Maybe I ruffled a few feathers with my Knitty critic sunday night. My purpose was NOT to hurt anyone but just give my opinion about the patterns available. I dress very tomboy-ish so froufrou stuff isn't for me. That said the articles were GREAT, I really enjoyed Bonne Marie's short row pictures. Also a review of the Denise Interchangeable Needles was alot of fun to read. That of course is because I am looking into buying some for a few months, I just haven't done it yet.
Please notice that I am not the only one who has had reservations about this last issue. Don't make this all about me because usually I'm the quiet one! LOL! I truely adore Knitty and it's purpose for sharing free funky patterns and a whole lot of amazing knowledge. Also remember that I haven't been knitting for a year yet, it will be 9 months as of tomorrow! I don't have years of experience nor have I seen over the years summer magazine issues with mostly tank tops to knit. I am just a newbie knitter that can't follow patterns too well! LOL! :)
Well that said! Yesterday was the 50% off sale at Value Village and I bought a knitting machine!!! It's old, I can safely say it's older than me! LOL! I saw the exact same machine but with more accessories on Ebay. Small world, so here it is: Brother Profile 588. It was 12,50$ on sale, so if I can't figure it out at all then it can go back to the store and I'm not out of any money. I'll let dh play with it and see what he comes up with! LOL! There was even some REgia yarn at the sale but only a partial ball and it was black but to know that someone in Montreal knitted ith Regia yarn made my day! LOL! Remember that in my little area of the world I am considered the weird one for liking to knit! Oh well, they are missing out on so much. ;)
Last week I bought a little Thing-a-ma-Jig kit, it is a little set to make wire projects like beaded knitting markets (ok they don't say that on the kit) lol! or small jewellery. I haven't tried it yet but hopefully I can make some cute little trinkets. :) I bought a small kit 'cause I didn't feel like spending alot before even knowing if I liked it. There are some kits that are 50$US and even more but frugal me wanted to make sure I enjoyed playing with wire first. :)

Yesterday I found some great new yarn at Walmart, I bought 2 balls of Crazy Hot and 1 ball of Red Hot. They received alot of the Lion Brand yarns that I've seen online and also received new Bernat yarns, like a very cute cotton ribbon. The kids enjoyed touching them all! LOL! I was tempted to buy the Knitting Made Easy cd-rom, thought I might learn something but with all the knitting links I have I wasn't sure it was worth it. I'll just add that to my birthday list! ;) Lucky me, got my Fisherman's wool in the mail, I'll need to try kool aid dyeing before knitting up another soaker for Lucas! :) It is the 1st time I have seen a ball of Lion's Brand fisherman's wool. The patterns on the band are really nice too, bummer I can't find this yarn locally. Also I bought the yarn from an online mom so the price was a fraction of what I've seen it online.

Off to go work on my Confetti socks a bit more. Maybe I won't frog them this time. ;)
