No time to knit yesterday, it was a crazy day. I'm still on schedule though and plan to finish the Suki today!!! :) Then I have to decide if I want 2 straps like the pattern suggests or only one strap like Kim so conveniently did. I really like her idea but I don't know what to do yet.
I want to knit myself so socks!!! I have the Confetti yarn waiting too (you might remember I started a sock but frogged it, not satisfied with how it was looking). I think that will be my birthday gift to myself! :) I shall be 26 years old in 2 friday from today. So stock up on e-card links 'cause I'd love a few cards on June 20th! LOL! ;)
Each year I want a big fuss for my birthday but it never happens. Actually last year was the worst bday ever. Dh worked all day, didn't give me anything and we ended up in a fight. UGH! This year I want the royal treatment! ;) Oh and I DESERVE it too! :-P
I never knitted lace and I think I'd like to try it. Cleo says it's something I've been missing out on, so of course now I really want to try it! ;) I was thinking maybe a bookmark but then I thought, well that's pretty lame, no? I don't even have time to read. Then again, I could send it to a great woman that was almost like a grandmother for me for years. She just moved back to Italy and I bet she'd love a lace bookmark for her bible (she's very religious but in a lovely way). ;) Oh how I miss her so, Mrs Lavender made the greatest homemade pasta and ACK! I miss her little cakes with nuts and all. waaaaaaaaaah! Yup, I think she'd love a little lacey bookmark! :) Ok, now where to start? No, no I'll wait until I finish Suki, try lace and then make sock for myself. I can wait on my socks, Mrs Lavender is THAT important to me! ;)
Oh also anyone has a suggestion for a gorgeous BUT easy shawl? Something not too froofroo but that feels just right to wear when watching tv or blogging in a room where the air conditioner is on too high! ;)
