I totally forgot to celebrate this event on friday so here it is! ;) I started blogging as a way to try to stay sane, this was months before I learned to knit! LOL! Much has happen in this last year and friends I've made in the blogging world is what makes me want to write day after day. :)

I was up at bright and early, the sun is out and we'll go play outside all day I'm sure. I did check out the knitting bloggers ring! WOW! We are now up to 246 members on it, I 'only' visited the first 50 blogs this morning. I used to read all the blogs on the ring once a week, I could do it all in a day. I've been on this ring since january and I believe the number of members has doubled since. Guess knitting is not a lost art after all! ;)

Since locally no yarn store seems to carry yarn winders I created my own (as seen in the previous post!) I also created my own counter to use on a circular needle. Simply slip a piece of yarn in the counter and not it to a marker. Works well and again it is cheaper than buying the real thing! ;) Though a yarn winder would be neat! LOL! I think I could have dh make a swift out of wood but not a winder.

Here's my update on Rainbow Suki, I'll add a color a day so by sunday if all goes well, I'll be knitting the handles! :)

Knitting with Cascade 220 sure is a treat, I almost feel like I could become a yarn snob and just knit with this wool until I die! LOL! Soooo sooooft! Also knitting double strand sure makes it go fast. I really like how it looks, maybe I could attempt a sweater!? I like the big stitches. :)

I played around with the skeins of wool that are making up my Suki bag, made this cute button. :) You are welcome to download it and link to me from your blog! Instead of changing the whole template I made a button, what can I say, I'm so 'wild'. :P

P/S: We went to see the movie Finding Nemo last night. WOW! Run and go see it, you'll spend a great evening I promise! :) At the time we went there were more adults then children and you could hear the adults laughing all throught the movie! ;)
