I'm smiling.....
Last night, well early this morning as I am going to bed... dh and I... YOU KNOW!!!! After having lived through him leaving us twice and still not fully recovered from all that mess. We had SeX! Of course I had to just go out and tell someone right? LOL! It's been a few months and well, it was nice. Now this morning it got me thinking, wouldn't it be something that I'd be pregnant after all this time, just by this one time? I live september babies after all! ;) We'll see, we'll see, we surely aren't in the trying to conceive mode but who knows what the higher powers have in store for us. A baby, I haven't had a baby in so long! LOL! Well Lucas will be 2 years old a few days after Valentine's day. It would be neat to have a baby in the next year though, Zoe was born in '99, Lucas in '01 and a baby born in '03 would just fit perfectly! LOL!
Ok, ok, I'm just chatting away again. Tonight was the last episode of Survivor Thailand. I'm sad it's already finished, sad that I didn't want either players to win. At least it's not as bad as Flo and Zach winning the Amazing Race. Oh my God! Can someone shoot that whinning girl? UGH!!!!! Of course I'm already eager to see the next set of Survivor series, it'll be in the Amazone, the colors and views will be gorgeous. Then there's the annaconda snake! ACK! I'm happy I'll be watching safe at home from the couch. ;)
Oh back to a baby, how cute would it be to knit for a baby. aaaaaaawww! :) Well actually their might be a baby being born right now, a fellow diary mom is having contractions you can fellow her here: http://themama.diaryland.com/index.html
So as I was watching tv tonight, I finished the lef part to Zoe's 1st sock, this is a practice sock before I use the sock yarn I bought her. She's so excited! :) Talk about excited when she saw me sewing at the sewing machine this afternoon. She loves to sit down on my lap and help me sew. I can't wait to give her, her own little sewing machine on Christmas!!! :) I need to go buy 2 D batteries but other than that I'm set, I bought the machine at a 2nd hand store back in the summer. She's going to be so happy, I'll be stuck to have to sew all the time! LOL! She even demanded tonight that I sew her more clothes, she's so sweet, so encouraging me with sewing. Why, was I sewing you ask? ;)
Yesterday I started a fleece pouch for the kids asthma paraphernalia. I did my 1st appliques on them also. They are a bit wobbly as I pulled and pushed the fabric through.... Guess that's not how you should sew fleece. ;) I got the satin stitch look though. Once again I am proud of myself, it's nothing much, especially if I compare myself to other sewing moms but hey *I* did it! :) Lucas had a blast walking around the house holding his "asthma" pouch! :) I should sew more, I really like it but it can get so expensive! UGH! Everything is related to money. :( Fabrics, patterns, needles, thread and what else!? They all add up so fast!
On a good note, dh got his 1st paycheck today!!!! It's been at least 3 months since he didn't brought one to the house. I was expecting about 60$ less from what he got. I was happily pleased by this pleasant surprise! :) Immediatly I paid all our bills via the internet, how conveniant!!! Dh doesn't know the password to his account so he can't do anything via the internet. I still have his ATM card and won't be giving it to him anytime soon. He knows it and fully accepts it. I gave him his "allowance" that we agreed on and this evening we finished his shopping to get the kids Christmas gifts. So now my mom and dh are all set! I'm only missing my mom's gift and I think that's it. If I can find a great deal, I'll get her a camera with automatic quick loading film in it. She needs something EASY to deal with. I did buy her a kodak camera two years ago but the kids destroyed it! LOL!
Tomorrow dh finishes work at noon and is off for the next 2 weeks. In the afternoon the kids will get their flu shots, I sure wish I could get it too! LOL! But that's ok, it's more important for them than it is for me. Next monday both kids will be a daycare all day! :) Incidently, I read online about Mother's Day Out programs! I guess this is what the kids daycare is! I just never knew in english they had such a specific name for it! So I might say MDO from now on. It just sounds less "bad" than daycare! LOL! In my mind a daycare is when the kids go full-time and that's not we have. Its really a place where moms go to get a break, we can take classes (like parenting, crafting and even has a breastfeeding support group).
To finish something different.
Tonight I feel blessed for:
-my mom taking the kids for a walk while I got to sew
-dh for working again at a schedule that works for our family
-having food on the table, a house over our heads, clothes
-being happy, just plain old happy for one night! Hopefully it'll keep on being this way too! :)
hugs to all!!!!
