I'm so HAPPY! :)
I'm only a seam away from finishing my 1st knitted sock! I couldn't be prouder of myself! :) I did it, I did it!!!! (for any moms out there, think of the Dora song!) LOL! It's such a rush to know I made this all on my own, with TONS of help from Crystal though! Waves to Crystal! :) I guess she does now deserve the needles I'm sending her. LOL! I need to get a move on that. So now when will I start the 2nd sock? I really want to complete this pair 'cause this one sock feels so comfy. Can't wait until the seam is done, it's only a detail until it's done but I'll work on that when the kids go to sleep tonight!
We got a nice check from the government yesterday! WOOHOO! It's enough for me to start breathing a bit. Gotta love being poor enough to qualify for tax return checks throughout the year. Especially at this time of the year, it's a great relief to see the brown envelope to my door. So we are splurging a bit tonight. Zoe and dh are taking a nap and as soon as they get up we are going downtown. Zoe will get to see an animated window display that is tradition to go see. Then I get to go check out the free exhibit of artisans that create wonderful things. It's always a pleasure to walk around the exhibit and of course this year I'll be noticing anything this has been knitted! :)
Where we will eat supper will be decided by Zoe! LOL! Also she'll get to ride a carroussel in a store. So I think we should have a nice evening. Lucas will stay home with my mom, he'll have his turn another day! :) Tomorrow we might go see Santa Claus at a mall about 45min away from by walk. We'll see if I feel like heading out to overly packed stores or not. We have plenty of crafts to do anyway so we'll see.
The kids are doing well with the asthma pumps. Zoe's taking her medecine even better than before. Lucas is "iffy" sometimes he does GREAT then at other times he just doesn't want to take it. So we only get battles half the time. ;) Dh even got Lucas to take part of his medecine while sleeping. Both kids are doing much better, they don't cough as much and just seem plain old happier too. It's a relief to see them back to all smiles again! :) We'll see if I go to the kid's clinic with them next week or not. We do need to get them their flu shots and yes, I will have them get it. If they really do have asthma I believe this shot can spare them alot of problems this winter. If they don't have asthma, I still think having the shot will help them stay healthy a while more than not getting it. If it weren't prescribed I wouldn't pay for the shot but since it is, why not? I know for MANY reasons I could say no to the shot but I won't! If this can help keep the kids healthy I'd get them the vaccine twice! LOL!
hugs, I'm in knitting heaven! :)
